Fertilizer Friday, July 10th.

Last week I didn't get a chance to participate in Fertilizer Friday, so I wanted to be sure to join in this week since things are really looking good right now.

The Fuchsia hanging basket has hummingbirds at it all the time.

Hydrangea 'Nikko Blue'

Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam'

Verbena bonariensis

Veronica 'Lilac Fantasy', finally found the tag for this one.  It has reseeded around the original plant too.

Rose 'Honey Perfume'

Diascia 'Coral Canyon' is supposed to be a perennial here.

Clematis 'Etoile Violette'

Rose 'Don Juan', not sure why I planted it right next to the Blueberry bushes.  I think it will be moved so we don't get pricked trying to pick them.

Nasturtium

Join Tootsie at Tootsie Time for more pretty flowers in bloom.

I won't be around much this weekend, Sweet Pea has another soccer tournament.  Hopefully her team will have lots of success at it.  It's their first one this season.

  4. Beautiful. I've never grown Nasturtiums but it looks really pretty. Wish my fuchsias didn't die this year. Bob kept my hanging baskets for about 3 years and I think he pulled them out too soon this year. Dang they were getting big and looking good.
Gorgeous Clematis with that white center. I don't think I've seen one like that before.
Tell Sweet Pea good luck at her tournament.

  9. Wow, the fuchia can blow you away with its great red color. All of your flowers are looking great. The yellow rose is a special photo. The subtle colors are beautiful. And the blue of your hydrangeas is sparkling. What a nice job your flowers are doing with a little help from a friend.

  19. Your Verbena looks great and like mine. Mine is coming up all over the place. Almost like somebody took seed and blew it all over the yard.

  20. Oh my, they are all just so pretty. Your fushia is so beautiful. Of course the blue and a hydrangea too, what is not to love about that combination. Your coreopsis looks so much fuller than mine.It probably hates my clay soil. And a yellow rose that is yellow and not red ;-)So pretty.

  21. What gorgeous flowers you have in bloom. I read one of your old posts about dry shade plants and I would recommend perennial geraniums. I had such a spot and they always did well. They're very tolerant plants. Isn't it funny how nobody can spell fuchsia! You did, well done.

  31. Hi Catherine! There is a lot of action in your garden! I have Don Juan climbing rose that is 5 years old. It used to be high and all covered in blooms. This year, after a bad winter, many branches got dead and after my pruning, the plant got back to the height of a regular rose. Do you prune your rose?

  32. Thanks for all your nice comments and for visiting!
We're getting ready to head out to the first game.

Prairie Chicken - The camera is a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS. I love it!

Jackie - This one is 'Nikko Blue' one of the older types. It always does great here, even with a late freeze.

Lotusleaf - It's just the soil here, acidic. I don't do anything to the hydrangeas to change their color.

Tatyana - I usually do some pruning in Feb, but I didn't do anything to this one, it was new last year. I did lose a couple of roses this winter though.
