"One of the most delightful things about a garden is the anticipation it brings."

The Path Garden

The path garden runs from our pond area around our deck and meets up with our side garden, which is where we grow our fruits and vegetables.
When we bought our home 10 years ago there was a worn down dirt and grass path.  This picture was taken after the sparse patches of grass had bee removed.

We brought many loads of stone in from a nearby rockery.  This picture is from a few years ago during the Spring.

Last Summer we removed the deck railings and sanded the ugly red stain off.  I also put in this new arbor at the entrance to the path.

This is where the end of the path meets the side yard.  This was taken at the end of Summer 2009.

In Fall the path is covered in leaves and pine needles from the big trees.

The Woodland Fairy keeps watch...

The "bend" in the path where Hellebores, Hostas, Ferns, Hydrangeas and many other shrubs and ground covers grow.

The beautiful Japanese Maple is like a living umbrella during the Summer.
