Happy day to you Catherine!!! I really enjoyed the pictures of your blooms, I have the same 3 but yours are months ahead. Something to look forward to. :)
Catherine, you have a beautiful garden. And so spring-y! It looks like you are about two weeks ahead of ours. We're in zone 6a, southern IL. The daffodils are blooming, but not the bleeding hearts. Soon! I don't have the white bleeding heart in our garden, but it's on my "gotta get it" list. It looks like your garden is similar to ours in that you don't mind new plants popping up where they might. The navelwort 'Starry Eyes' is beautiful! Another one for that list of mine... :) ~~Rhonda
Dear Catherine, What a really kind thought. Spring has indeed arrived and I truly hope that all of your garden wishes for this season will be fulfilled.
Your garden is so beautiful in the shining sunshine! You are the first one to wish me a "Happy Spring". We are now off to the store to buy the supplies to build our new vegetable garden. The kids are so excited.
Happy Spring to you also! Thanks for the very cheery, very colorful look at spring in your gardens. I am keeping these images in my head as I look out onto the snow.
Catherine, I cant believe how advanced your plants are! To have a dicentra in bloom!.Mine are just beginning to show against the earth! How lovely your sunshine looks too!No wonder the birds are singing
Happy Spring day to you too Catherine. I cannot believe how much things are growing at your home. Just look how the pathway is filling in. I took camera in hand this morning at looked to see what was growing the first day of spring and was delightfully surprised at all the things going on. Cooler weather is coming in tonight but hopefully it will not stay now. Have a good weekend. Lona
Happy Spring to you and all your garden friends!! Finally witnessing the revival of the garden, with the first blooms and new buds to delight and pamper yourself with a smile on this beautiful day that I agree with you all! Good Sunday!
lovely depiction of spring Catherine. It sure has arrived here - I spent yesterday in the garden - without a coat on and for the first time and the bees were buzzing all around me. I had a clothes line full of laundry and it all dried outside. My house has been like a laundry all winter.
Awww, what a nice wish. I love the wren photo. I wish it would have been all those things but maybe today?? Yesterday our high was 36 degrees and of course we had that nasty snow on the ground! ;-) Love your spring garden tho ~ I know it will arrive here soon ~ I'm waiting as patiently as I can. Happy Spring to you too. ps Hope the chickadees move in!
What a fantastic way to celebrate the first day of Spring. Your photos express the beauty and warmth of the Season. The bird is precious. He made my heart smile today.
The little Wren is so sweet and look at your flowers. You have so much color going on already. I'm very envious. Hey I just remembered a hummingbird flew over my head the other day. Guess I'd best be putting those feeders out. I don't know if you checked back at my post but in answer to your question - no I did not plant the Huckleberry Bushes. I have 3 old growth stumps that I've had to fight husband, loggers and the stump grinder to keep. Each has a wild Huckleberry bush on top of it and I also have to fight birds to get at least one taste each year. But that one taste takes me back so many years.
Catherine your garden is really alive with color and growth! Beautiful! Here we are just beginning! I know we could still get very cold temps and more snow! Yikes I hope not! Happy Spring to you too! Carol
Thank goodness it finally arrived! However...today is really wold, wet and windy here! Next weekend I will be working on my raised veggie garden, so hopefully it won't rain!
Your garden is such a credit to you! It's looking beautiful. You have so many lovely blooms already! I just love that picture of the sweet little song sparrow. Isn't it wonderful to hear the birds singing and to see blooms in the garden again? And what a joy it is to be able to get outside and work in the garden!!! Happy spring, Catherine!
Happy Spring to you too Catherine! Lovely post, and I always love seeing your Dicentra in bloom. As it actually IS sunny here, I think it's time to head outside and do some gardening of my own!
Our first day of spring was gorgeous, but the last two days have been wintry cold and rainy. However, I know the sunny, warmer weather is coming back real soon. I love all your beautiful pics. Happy Spring!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and leave a comment. I try my very best to answer any questions you may have, but usually don't have time to respond to each comment. Please leave a link to your blog so I can visit you in return.
