Check out the label 'birds' to see the shots- and I don't even have a great camera (certainly not a SLR...sigh!) Get a Hummzinger!Tessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12357951823874888877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960442494452732795.post-73301209087333743192009-01-22T12:03:00.000-08:002009-01-22T12:03:00.000-08:00Tessa - thanks. That's a great one sitting and resting on the fence. These guys are fast!Catherine@AGardenerinProgresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05001060769253273283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960442494452732795.post-49703865315993963632009-01-18T17:07:00.000-08:002009-01-18T17:07:00.000-08:00Yes, Anna's is what I think they are. Our feeder is just outside the kitchen window. They seem to get used to our movements inside the house.Petunia's Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02294826235747207917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960442494452732795.post-51435780324132020812009-01-18T11:09:00.000-08:002009-01-18T11:09:00.000-08:00This is the first year that I put out a nectar fee...This is the first year that I put out a nectar feeder for the hummers. It took awhile for them to find it, but once they did I was so excited! I never did get a good photo of them, they were way too skittish, but I snapped several through the window and screen. The best of the lot can be found on my August 24 post on my blog, where I actually snapped one at rest. Maybe next summer they will get more used to me, and allow me to take their photo more close up. I had a pair of them visit the feeder during the coldest, snowiest days last month. They are the sweetest little birds.
Hope your fuchsia made it thru the cold.
~Aerie-elKit Aerie-elhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06548961699994971020noreply@blogger.com
