And I clicked ...I just discovered gardening blogs! And I clicked wa state and found your nice blog zone 8. I am wa zone 7. Your garden is lovely. We have a large yard and it is getting harder to keep prestine as we get older. Our yard is a Wild life Habitat reg. We have 3 humming birds that live here yr. round. Snow or ice they are at our window feeders. This winter we got the snow and ice. So we finally got smart and brought the feeders in at night and in the morning put them out again. They have their times they come to the feeders @ day. We also have a pond, we used a preformed pond and used a whiskey barrel for the fountain flow. I was over in Rosalyn one summer and saw this lovely flower this woman had. I asked her what it was and she did not know but grabbed a shovel and preceeded to dig up a chunk for me. After many months of search and nurseries I found the name of the plant. Veronicastram. It if about 5 1/2 ft. tall dies down during the winter and deep pink blosoms all the way up the stems, beautiful! Thats again for your pictures of your garden and pond.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06519460714071619926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960442494452732795.post-78562663080359185932010-07-14T10:09:41.772-07:002010-07-14T10:09:41.772-07:00Your garden IS a magical place Catherine.
